What is the Leeds Digital Festival?
The Leeds Digital Festival is a collaborative celebration of digital culture in all its forms. Spanning two weeks, the festival will feature over 200 events, showcasing the region’s digital enterprise and innovation.
What will we cover at the event?
Exploring Scientific Software Architecture will be an Architectural Kata, offering participants hands-on experience in this field. Peter Hill, Solution Architect at Lhasa and a member of the organising team, shares insights into what attendees can expect:
“Architectural Katas stem from a simple desire: software architects need a chance to practice being software architects. At our event, participants will get an opportunity to practice architectural design within a safe, friendly, collaborative environment. We will split into small teams to work on a project proposal that needs development. You’ll get a chance to ask questions of the host to expand on the requirements, then discuss technology options, decide which quality attributes, such as scalability and reliability, are most important, and sketch out a rough vision of what the solution might look like. At the end, each team will present their solution back to the whole group.”
