The Lhasa Limited Japan symposium returned to Tokyo in September 2024.
On 12th September, we brought together professionals from industry and regulatory bodies to address critical topics in chemical safety, with a particular focus on the ongoing challenges of nitrosamine risk assessment. The event offered valuable insights from experts on ICH M7 assessment, nitrosamine risk assessment, the application of innovative in silico tools, and the latest regulatory guidance. It was a unique opportunity to explore current industrial perspectives, data-driven approaches, and harmonisation efforts in nitrosamine risk management.
The symposium included the following sessions:
Session 1: Accelerating ICH M7 Assessment
Session 2: Nitrosamine Issues in Japan and Overcoming Current Challenges: Industry Perspectives
Session 3: Assessing the Risk of Nitrosamine Formation
Session 4: Supporting Confident and Regulatory Compliant Nitrosamine Risk Assessments
Session 5: Setting an Appropriate Control Strategy for Potentially Mutagenic Impurities
